HOW TO STYLE YOUR PARASOL

A parasol is a showstopper, you don’t need much more!  Be brave with colour, summer light is stronger and bright colours look more vibrant in sunshine. Colourful scatter cushions are a great way to accent and emphasise your parasol, natural wood is lovely with colourful textiles and a vase of flowers on the table adds another height element under the parasol.

"I love discovering new combinations of colour and pattern, there’s nothing better than travelling in different cultures or looking at the wonders of nature to inspire you."

EMBRACE COLOUR

"I wanted to inspire people to embrace colour and theatricality. And what is more cheerful and fabulous than a flamboyant sun parasol? Be brave with colour, summer light is stronger and bright colours look more vibrant in sunshine"

WARMER SHADES

Pinks, oranges, yellow and red tones are the ultimate summer look. A combination of these vibrant shades looks stunning against a garden, pool or patio. They create an inviting scene and are very easy to style together.

We advise choosing one or two warm shades and either a cool tone like blue or green or a neutral like cream, grey, brown or black.

Colourful cushions go beautifully with patterned parasols, and if you are creating a look using multiple parasols a combination of patterned and warm/cool ones looks fabulous.

COOL TONES

Blue and green shades are remarkable together and create a surprising and chic aesthetic, greens and bright blues together mute each other. These are brilliant combined with warmer toned elements such as pink, orange and yellow, and also with patterns. Our William Morris prints pair particularly well with them.

Adding some blue or green to a dark or light colour theme is a very elegant way to introduce colour.

COLOURFUL PRINTS

Nothing says summer like cheerful prints. Our prints are easily combined with each other to create a charming, colourful, welcoming space. The colours we use are designed to work tonally with each other so you can mix styles together.

We advise choosing 3 colours to make a really, vibrant summery look. You can easily add small elements of other shades and build up from this basis. To add colour to a muted palette we advise choosing at least 3 differently smaller coloured elements to lift it and not look too 'matchy'.

DARK COLOURS

Dark tones are a dramatic statement look and can be softened with light elements and either warm or cool colours. Our darker parasols are made more inviting with lighter fringing and more playful with elements of colour.

WHITES & NEUTRALS

Light elegant neutral shades to create a tranquil and calm space. These shades are excellent together in a outdoor setting and you can easily add colourful elements to create a tasteful scene.

These colours work beautifully with patterns and colourful or dark colour schemes to add a contrasting lightness.

BLUSH PINKS

Blush pinks are subtle and chic and work wonderfully with spring and summer gardens. You can build on this look with yellow, orange cushions to create a vibrant and welcoming outdoor scene.
