Description

Beautiful natural white parasol with a piped blue scalloped valance. Simple, chic and elegant. The canvas is water-resistant treated.

A parasol perfect for a picnic, patio, through your table with an umbrella hole, or by your sun lounger at the pool.

A truly lovely garden accessory. The dark blue piping is easy to style and this pretty parasol is a perfect shade for a terrace, patio, pool side or alfresco dining scene.

Our octagonal parasols feature water resistant canvas canopies, and the parasol frame is made from durable blonde wood with our own designs of brass fittings and double pulley system to make the opening easy. Please note that the rope ties off around a brass cleat hook fixed to the pole, not on a hook from the hub. These are very special handcrafted garden parasols, each part specifically made for East London Parasol Co. Every Octagonal Parasol is lovingly assembled to order here in the UK.

The canopy is easily removable for cleaning. The corners are Velcro and removing the cover is a simple matter of undoing the corners and unscrewing the wooden top piece.

Our octagonal parasols are named after divas known publicly and personally, please be prepared to carry out a little care in order to enjoy many happy summers with your fair weather friend.

Please under no circumstances use your parasol in windy weather conditions. A fall will damage it.

HOW THEY'RE MADE

This East London Octagonal Parasol is handmade here in the UK and assembled especially for you.

The gorgeous canopy is made from natural cotton canvas lined with cotton sheeting. Patterned canopies are created using screen print, and each panel of the parasol is printed separately. The pattern is gradually built, each colour in the design is printed separately and dried before the next colour screen is introduced. The patterned valances are a separate printing project with their own templates.

We use pigment inks mixed by hand, and colour match by eye. It’s an art form to create an ink which dries to the perfect shade. Our tassels are hand made in Rajasthan and dyed to match our inks.
