How to throw an Indian Summer Party

Indian Summer Party
g

Travelling beyond Europe may not be on the cards right now, but that's not going to stop us from transporting ourselves to the warm vibrancy of India. We haven't exactly had the sunniest few months, but as the warm weather descends, it is the perfect time to create an Indian inspired summer party.

Set your scene. Choose an East London Parasol, in whichever colour takes your fancy- these are fabulous show stoppers and a fantastic way to add instant glamour and height levels. We love the subtly stylish Stevie Round Bamboo Parasol with its pale pink and silver fringing which complements a summer garden, and sparkles in the sunlight. Pale pink is one of our popular colour parasols because it pairs so easily with natural shades and greens.

The stunning bamboo couch is from Lounge & Linger, paired with our fierce but chic leopard cushions. To add a pop of colour, we think incorporating a rug is a great way to pull all your items together. Don't forget about where you'll be putting your drinks- we're obsessed with this Amara semi-precious stone side table

Our peacock chair is a fantastic statement piece, it's timeless and you only need one to create the scene. As you can tell we love pink tones, and this wonderful hand printed pink floral tablecloth (bottom right) from Cologne & Cotton, is created using block prints- a traditional form of printing just like on our cushions, that is almost 5 centuries old and a skill passed down through generations. When setting your Indian inspired table, these tilting pink and orange splatter glasses from By Alice, are a real treat. For plating all the tasty party food, we'll be using the simply divine Oscar de la Renta dinner plates from Maison Margaux. Lastly, you don't want to forget about when the sun starts to set.
For a magical Indian feel, string up some gorgeous lanterns from Party Pieces. They truly are the icing on the chia cake!
