pastel TONES

Fabulous on their own, or grouped as collection to build over time, these lovely shades of pink, apricot, blue and yellow are given an elegant and more grown up feel with their hand-painted gilded design and carved wood. Their sympathetic colours work with similar tones, can balance out a more vibrant scene, and bring graceful hints of summer to neutral settings. These are particularly adaptable parasols as they work wonderfully in any garden. Modern gardens can be hard to style as they have a lot of grey in their structure and these colours can lift and complement them.

Our hand block printed cushions and napkins are designed to work with our parasols and can help radiate a colour theme through your garden scene.

"Our new pastel tones are summery classics - easy to style and timelessly pleasing in a garden, influenced by the 1950’s images of Hollywood high society taken by Slim Aarons and the Harajuku fashion movement in Japan."

Pinks, oranges, yellow and red tones are the ultimate summer look. A combination of these vibrant shades looks stunning against a garden, pool or patio. They create an inviting scene and are very easy to style together. We advise choosing one or two warm shades and either a cool tone like blue or green or a neutral like cream or taupe. Colourful cushions go beautifully with patterned parasols, and if you are creating a look using multiple parasols and a combination of patterned and warm/cool ones looks fabulous.

"I wanted to inspire people to embrace colour and theatricality. And what is more cheerful and fabulous than a flamboyant sun parasol? Be brave with colour, summer light is stronger and bright colours look more vibrant in sunshine"

Blue and green shades are remarkable together and create a surprising and chic aesthetic, greens and bright blues together mute each other. These are brilliant combined with both bright colours and pastel shades. The glory of these lovely hues is that they also work well with patterns and neutral settings. Adding some blue or green to a dark or light colour theme is a very elegant way to introduce colour, they’re a stylish and safe option in the best way.

"Embrace colour! I love discovering new combinations of colour and pattern, there’s nothing better than travelling in different cultures or looking at the wonders of nature to inspire you."

We love pink, it’s a magic shade that can make everyone and everything look happy and healthy. Our favourite combination is pink and green, the colours of spring. Blush pinks are subtle and chic, they work beautifully with any garden, they’re set off by glorious foliage. Pinks also look stunning in darker themed settings, they look incredibly stylish against dark greys and even black. For a chic set up try styling a blush pink parasol with cushions in cream, grey/ taupe, green (light or dark) with some napkins and table wares with hints of rose pink.

White parasols conjure an instant feeling of summer, they’re a classic. A white shade can be styled however you wish and we offer parasols with a variety of designs inside the canopy- a hidden secret. Our parasols have beautiful wooden frames and brass fittings which, combined with a white canopy, bring a feeling of luxury and elegance to an outdoor set up. You can add colourful cushions to style up the parasol or enhance the print inside it, and expand the colour theme into a table setting with colourful tablewares and glasses.

"Nothing says summer like cheerful prints."

Our prints are easily combined with each other to create a charming, colourful, welcoming space. The colours we use are designed to work tonally with each other so you can mix styles together. We advise choosing 3 colours to make a really, vibrant summery look. You can easily add small elements of other shades and build up from this basis. To add colour to a muted palette we advise choosing at least 3 differently smaller coloured elements to lift it and not look too 'matchy'.
